This was something that me and my soul-clan discussed in January 2020 to clear the doubts about “right eating”. Posting this excerpt here about “FOOD”.
I feel that there has been a long-drawn discussion about being a vegetarian, vegan and non-vegetarian. And all of this to me at this point seems futile, but there was a time when I turned against meat-eating (however gross it sounds, that’s what it’s called) and became a vegetarian. I ate only veggies and milk-products.
You may ask why not be a vegan then, well the first thing is my heart didn’t rebel against it at it did with meat & fishes and secondly, I love milk.
I was a vegetarian for 5 years and then during the 6th I was pushed to eat meat again due to severe health reasons and it was just before my first awakening during Vipassana.
I was so sad, about doing something I didn’t want to, that every time I ate non-veg I’ll cry (It was annoying ?). Then one day things changed, I was feeling miserable and my whole day was just too draining due to this emotional chaos in me, so during meditation I heard the Spirit tell me, “Whatever you eat, take it as food which is providing nourishment to your body, not judging or over-analyzing it. It’s for the good of your body and without sound health nothing will be smooth”.
That was the day my mind. Shifted and I’m a non-veg but I don’t make bones about it nor I criticize others who aren’t.
Spirituality for many is a badge of ego, the same way being a vegan and vegetarian is one too. I have seen vegan and vegetarians look down upon the meat-eating population. I think with my experience of a meat-eating body and still reaching her spiritual awakening and kundalini awakening states, it’s just a misnomer!!!! And it’s not me there have been some great Spiritual teachers who too were non-vegetarian and didn’t make much of it.
For HEALERS the main reason to turn vegan or vegetarian is the idea of purifying the bodies so that more and more light can enter, so that we can become a better channel, so that we can show solidarity and kindness to the beings and so our potential as a healer increases.
And all this, please mind it, all this goes down the drain as soon as we open our mouth to criticize a non-veg. person.
Grand Master Chao Kok Sui said, that we need to watch, what comes out of our mouth.
So, do you think that what we eat (food) is what we’re eating?????
That’s not true!!!!
What you let your mind grasp, is what you’re eating too. Do you feel angry because someone just shouted at you, then you have eaten that individuals’ anger. Are you afraid because everyone else is too, then you’ve eaten the fears of others!!!!
Every single moment even without using our mouth we’re eating. And how’s that???
Eating is taking things in your body which will affect your mind & emotions in a subtle way, and think what thoughts and emotions projected by others do if we let them influence us, which us letting them come in our being, our body which is what, eating right???
So, it’s more important to know what are we letting our-self eat energetically than what you’re eating for your sustenance.
If I go with my experience, I have had awakenings even when I’m a non-veg. It’s not only the purification on 3D level that works but a purification on all levels.
My being a non-veg is not fueled by cruelty and feeling good about killing and eating, the main emotion I project during eating anything is that I’m sustaining my body-temple, my vessel which is helping me live and clear my karma and be of service at this plane.
Spirit doesn’t care about what you eat but what is really affecting your equilibrium, your inner-poise and peace.
There’s this saying in one of the Sanatana-Dharma texts on Vishnu (the Nurturer, Love aspect of God), that “When a lion eats a deer Vishnu is nurturing Vishnu, so there’s no killing, no one dies, because Vishnu lives”. – This is a profound revelation and I’m not going to spell it out to you, whatever you feel after you contemplate, is your story.
Stick to it if you feel you want to be a vegan, stick to it if you want to be a vegetarian, stick to it if you want to be a non-veg. Just remember,
- Don’t criticize or secretly look down upon others who aren’t following your path. If you’re judging & criticizing, you’re missing the whole point of “Being Kind”.
- Everyone from vegan to non-veg are somehow destroying life (whatever level of consciousness the plants are, they are PROVED to be living!!!) to sustain, which is necessary, so try to replenish it with acts of goodness, kindness every day.
- Choose your path unapologetically and stand your ground, FOR YOU!!!!
- Don’t seek followers to tell you that you’re doing good, because that’s ego-feeding which is the most dangerous thing in the world.
P.S. In 2016 I read about a couple who had 2 kids, and they were living only on water + breathing exercises for 7+ years then. I can’t find information about them now, if you want to read about their journey google search them.
And be unapologetic for who you are!!!!!
